Located about 5 miles north of Fort Bragg
This area is part of MacKerricher State Park. Cleone lake is stocked with trout making it one of the best State Parks to bring the whole family to enjoy one of the many campsites. It also includes a wooden wheelchair accessible walkway out to Laguna Point for some breath-taking ocean views. On a clear day Cape Mendocino can be seen. The most western point of the Lower 48 States. As a teenager I also enjoyed overlooking the beach from the Cleone parking lot with my girlfriend.
