Glass Beach

Growing up in the 50s and 60s this was the city dump. Who could have known years later it would be one of the most popular spots on the entire Mendocino Coast. After the clean-up it was named Glass Beach because of all the colored broken glass left behind. Visitors have removed all the glass and only the giant tide pool makes it look like it is made of glass at sunset. The pristine beach just north was always my favorite and still is. I walked the cliff path to Pudding creek as a boy many times. What pleasant memories it brings back. Hope you will enjoy my images of my childhood playground.
